Requirements for the materials provided in the Scientific Journal “Manager”
Design of an article
Files of the article and information must be titled with the names of the authors in Russian. The file with the article loaded into the system must be presented in Microsoft Word format (have the extension *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf).
The article is formatted in accordance with GOST R 7.0.7-2021.
Before the title of the article, indicate its type (scientific, review, discussion, etc.) on a separate line on the left, on the next line – the sign of the universal decimal classification (UDC), also without indentation and aligned to the left.
The title in Russian must fully reflect the content of the scientific article. Typed in capital letters in bold style without indentation and aligned to the left. There is no period at the end of the title.
Title in English. In the translation of article titles into English there should not be any transliterations from Russian, except for untranslatable names of proper names, devices and other objects that have their own names; Also, untranslatable slang, known only to Russian-speaking specialists, is not used. This also applies to author summaries (annotations) and keywords.
Information about the author(s) is indicated after the title of the scientific article below at intervals with the text aligned to the left. Basic information about the author contains:
– first name, patronymic, last name (in full), typed in bold;
below in the line, separated by commas:
– name of the organization (institution), its division where the author works or studies (without indicating the organizational and legal form);
– address of the organization where the author works or studies (city, country);
– author’s email address (without the word “e-mail”);
– open scientist identifier (ID – ORCID) (if available). Those who do not have a unique ORCID identifier can obtain one by registering at http://orcid.org.
If an article has two or three authors, their names are given in the sequence they accept, on a line, separated by commas.
Information about the place of work (study), email addresses, ORCID of the authors is indicated after the names of the authors, at intervals, on different lines and associated with the names using superscript numeric notations. If the authors have the same place of work (study), then this information is given only once.
Information about the author(s) is repeated in English after the title of the article in English. The name and surname of the author (authors) are given in transliterated form in Latin in full; the patronymic is shortened to one letter (in some cases – to two). The official English name of the institution must be used.
Abstract, keywords, acknowledgments, and funding information are aligned to paragraph width. The abstract is formed according to GOST R 7.0.99. It should be compact – volume from 100 to 250 words. Before the abstract, the word “Abstract” is given, typed in italics and bold. The abstract contains a description of the main purpose of the study, a brief description of the methodology and presents a summary of the most important results of the study and the possibility of their practical application. Abbreviations must be deciphered.
Annotation text should not be italicized, bold, underlined, etc. The text should not be divided into paragraphs.
Citation and references to other works are not allowed in the abstract.
Immediately after the annotation, 3–15 key words (phrases) in the nominative case should be presented. They are presented preceded by the words “Keywords”, typed in italics and bold, and separated by commas. There is no period at the end. Keywords should not be arranged in alphabetical order, but by degree of importance.
After the keywords, words of gratitude are given to organizations (institutions), scientific supervisors and other persons who provided assistance in the preparation of the article, information about grants, projects, research work, within the framework or as a result of which the article was published. This information is given preceded by the word “Acknowledgments”, typed in italics and bold. In English, words of gratitude are given after keywords in English, preceded by the word “Acknowledgments”).
Information about funding for the research, preparation and publication of the article can be given separately, preceded by the word “Funding”, typed in italics and bold.
The text of the Article. The article should clearly and concisely present the current state of the issue, describe the research methodology, and discuss the results obtained. The main part should fully reflect the essence of the research conducted, the significance of the results obtained and their scientific novelty.
It is recommended to standardize the structure of the article text using subheadings:
introduction (includes an analytical review, justification of the relevance of the problem);
purpose and objectives of the study;
research methods;
research results and their discussion;
conclusions.
Subheadings of the article are typed in italics, bold, without paragraph indentation, aligned to the left.
The volume and ratio of each part are determined by the author at his own discretion, based on the characteristics of the article.
Formatting requirements. The volume of the author’s original must be from 20,000 to 45,000 printed characters with spaces (excluding information about the authors and the bibliography), the number of images – up to 10, the bibliography – up to 30 current sources (mainly for the last 5 years, with the exception of classical literature ).
The text is typed single-spaced, font size – 12 (for all elements of the article), paragraph indent – 0.5, typeface – Times New Roman on an A4 sheet with 2 cm margins.
In the main text, bold and/or italics are allowed to highlight the most important aspects, definitions, and concepts.
Using the hyphen (–) symbol to hyphenate words, underlining words, or highlighting them (coloring, shading, highlighting) with a colored marker is not allowed.
It is necessary to remove all repeated blank spaces and unnecessary line breaks from the text (automatically using the Microsoft Word “find and replace” service).
It is not recommended to use kerning (sparse or condensed font); subscript and superscript characters should not be used outside of formulas.
All pages of the manuscript are numbered.
Formulas, figures and tables. Figures and tables are drawn up in accordance with GOST 2.105-95. Each figure must be labeled (below the figure), and the table must have a title (above the table in the middle of the line). All figures and tables must be numbered in Arabic numerals. Drawings and diagrams made in Word must be grouped within a single object. To create figures and tables, you should use a standard set of Microsoft Office programs. It is advisable to submit illustrative material made using other programs in vector forms WMF, EPS or raster – TIFF (graphics – black and white, 600 dpi; photographs – grayscale, 150 dpi). Illustrations must be extremely visual, graphically expressive, and clear.
Aligning text and numbers within table cells should be done using standard methods only, without using spaces, paragraphs, or additional blank lines.
The use of landscape orientation for tables and figures is prohibited.
Mathematical formulas are performed using the standard Microsoft Equation 3.0 (or compatible) formula editor using typesetting standards (observing the style and relative size of formula components). Font when typing formulas: Times New Roman, sizes: regular 12 pt, large index – 9 pt, small index – 7 pt, large symbol – 14 pt, small symbol – 10 pt.
All values of physical quantities are given in the SI system. The present tense is used for text material (except for references to previous articles).
Formulas should not be in picture format.
Requirements for the list of sources. The list of references for the article is required. A list of extra-text bibliographic references is placed after the main text of the article with the preceding words “The List of sources” typed in bold. The list should primarily include scientific articles, monographs, dissertation abstracts, regulatory documents, and statistical materials. Self-citation is allowed no more than 10-15%. Links to unpublished works are not allowed.
The list must be compiled in order of references in the text in the original language in accordance with GOST 7.0.5-2008. If there is a DOI electronic identifier in the source description, it must be indicated at the end of the bibliographic description in the list. If the cited source does not have a DOI, but is posted on the Internet, its access address should be indicated.
In-text references are formatted in square brackets indicating the source number in the bibliographic description and page – [1, p. 23]. When citing several sources simultaneously, the link looks like [1, p. 23; 2, p. 37].
Interlinear page-by-page bibliographic references are allowed; their numbering within the article is continuous. Footnotes can contain: links to anonymous sources on the Internet, links to textbooks, teaching aids, regulatory documents, GOSTs, statistical reports, articles in socio-political newspapers and magazines, abstracts, dissertations (if it is not possible to cite articles published on results of dissertation research), author’s comments. Sources formatted with footnote links are not included in the over-text list of sources.
The author is responsible for the reliability of information, accuracy of citations and links to official documents and other sources. Links must be verified, output data checked on the official website of journals and/or publishers.
Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements are returned to the authors for revision.
Additional information about the author (authors) contains: full names, patronymics and surnames; academic titles; academic degrees; international author identification numbers other than ORCID (for example, Researcher ID); honorary titles, membership in organizations (if any). Additional information preceded by the words “Information about the author (authors)”, typed in italics and bold, is indicated at the end of the article after the “List of Sources”.
Additionally, at the end of the article after “Information about the authors”, information about the contribution of each author can be provided. This information is preceded by the words “Contribution of the authors”: in bold italics. After the author’s surname and initials, his personal contribution to the writing of the article is briefly described (idea, collection of material, processing of material, writing the article, scientific editing of the text, etc.), or it is indicated that all authors made an equivalent contribution to the preparation of the publication.
After “Information about the authors”, a statement about the absence or presence of a conflict of interest, as well as details of such a conflict, may be provided.
Conflict of Interest Information. Authors must disclose potential and apparent conflicts of interest related to the manuscript. A conflict of interest can be considered any situation (financial relations, service or work in the institutions that have a financial or political interest in published materials, job responsibilities, etc.) that can affect the author of the manuscript and lead to concealment, distortion of data, or change their interpretation. The presence of a conflict of interest among one or more authors is not the reason for refusal to publish an article. Concealment of potential and obvious conflicts of interest on the part of the authors, identified by the editors, may result in refusal to consider and publish the manuscript.
